Amanda Riensche, RN, IBCLC

Founder. The Heart Behind Nourished. Postpartum Advocate. Lactation Expert. Motherhood Companion.

Amanda Riensche is a Registered Nurse (RN) and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) passionate about supporting families through every stage of their feeding journey. She has been a licensed nurse since 2012 (she started as a LPN and is now a RN), with professional experience as both a pediatric and postpartum nurse, which sparked her deep commitment to the postpartum dyad.

As the founder of Nourished Lactation Care, Amanda provides experienced, evidence-based care to families throughout Snohomish County, offering both home visits and office consultations at Special Delivery Birth Center. Her approach is personalized, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that every family deserves access to skilled lactation support. Amanda accepts most major insurances, helping reduce barriers to care and ensuring families feel supported from the very beginning.

In addition to her clinical work, Amanda serves on the board of the Lactation Coalition of Snohomish County, where she collaborates with fellow professionals to advance infant feeding support and education in the community. She also proudly co-founded the nonprofit Birth & Parenthood Connection, which creates meaningful events for birth professionals and parents to connect, learn, and grow together through networking and professional development opportunities.

Outside of her work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and four kids.

Amy Sharp, RN, IBCLC

Nurse. Lactation Expert. Supportive Soul. Advocate for Every Family.

Amy Sharp is a Registered Nurse and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with 27 years of nursing experience, most of which has been spent supporting families through the perinatal and postpartum journey.

She is passionate about helping families feel confident and supported no matter what feeding looks like for them. Whether a family is breastfeeding, bottle feeding, exclusively pumping, or using a combination of methods, Amy meets them where they are and helps them move forward in a way that feels realistic and sustainable.

Amy provides compassionate, evidence-based care in a practical and approachable way-because real life with a baby is rarely perfect, and support should fit into a family’s world, not the other way around.

Based in Bellevue, Amy offers in-home visits throughout many surrounding communities. Telehealth appointments are also available as desired. She considers it a true privilege to be welcomed into a family’s home. There is no judgment, just steady, thoughtful support.

Amy is also deeply committed to continuing education and staying at the forefront of lactation care. Recent advanced trainings include:

• Guiding Bottle Breakthroughs (support for bottle refusal)
• Pumping & Feeding Workshop (pumps, flanges, and feeding tools)
• Tongue-Tie Symposium
• Gentle Manual Therapeutic Breast Techniques
• Advanced Breastfeeding Care & Clinical Concepts

In the coming year, Amy looks forward to continuing to expand her knowledge through these courses:

• Mindful Approach to Herbal Support During Lactation
• Mindful Approach to Oral Function & Ankyloglossia
• GOLD Lactation Conference

Through it all, Amy is honored to walk alongside families, whatever season they’re in.
